Whole-house refurbishments where the building stays but everything inside it changes. Rewires, replumbs, new heating, modern insulation, structural opening-out and a finished interior. One team handles the lot, sequenced so nothing has to be revisited.
Scope scales with the project, but these four areas are the spine of any full renovations engagement with Honeyman.
Soft-strip back to brick where required, structural openings cut and pinned, RSJs installed under engineer's calcs and building control sign-off.
Full first-fix electrics by NICEIC-registered electricians, replumb to copper or plastic as suits, new heating system designed around the finished layout.
Floor insulation, cavity batts, room-in-roof and warm-roof options. We sequence insulation so it actually performs as designed, not as an afterthought.
Plastering, joinery, decorating, kitchens, bathrooms and the second-fix detail. Snagging walk, written list, closed out before handover.
Most full renovations of a three or four-bed property run from accepted quote to handover over an agreed programme set at contract stage. Every job is different, so we confirm the schedule in writing before starting.
On larger properties yes, we zone the build and protect the habitable side. On smaller homes most clients move out for the bulk of the strip-out and rewire and move back during finishes.
We work with your architect or interior designer where one is engaged. Where you don't have either, we can recommend North West practices we trust to bring the vision and the buildability together.
Renovations always uncover surprises. We quote the variation in writing before doing anything extra, so no work is added without your sign-off and there are no surprise invoices at handover.
Honeyman covers Rochdale, Greater Manchester and the South Pennines as a matter of course. Travel beyond on negotiation.
A quick chat is usually enough to establish whether your project is a good fit for Honeyman. Drawings, sketches or a postcode all welcome.
